Beykoz Kundura Film Days
Inspired from themes of snow, nightmare, and entrapment, Beykoz Kundura brings together three masterpieces from the history of cinema. A specially curated programme, entitled Snow-Clad Nightmares, has presented three tales, three worlds, three genres from completely different worlds on Saturday, 20 January 2018 at Beykoz Kundura.
This special programme brings together Stanley Kubrick’s unforgettable masterpiece. The Shining, John Carpenter’s sci-fi horror classic The Thing, and Harold Ramis’s outstanding comedy Groundhog Day. A hotel in Rocky mountains, a research institute at Antartica, and a desolate town… These three films have completely different stories, worlds, and genres, and they were filmed at different times. What brings them together is the nightmarish feeling of entrapment. The snow-clad nightmares of these characters entrapped in a single place come together at Beykoz Kundura.
